From social or digital interactive media community management tools, to mobile (mhealth) health applications, and direct medical practice models, we value innovation, vision and the ability to materially transform an ailing, fragmented, and too costly sick care ‘non-system’.
Market tenure, cycles and multiple business model launch perspective afford us with a unique view on the nature of the problem and likely sources of the remedies. From the birth of managed care in the 1970’s to the near cratering of the employer sponsored health(care) market place, we’ve counseled and implemented strategy for hospitals, health systems, physician organizations and networks, including provider sponsored health plans.
With the March, 2010 passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, we’re again at critical crossroad of it’s either ‘deja vu all over again’, or, what did we learn from the integration efforts of the 1990s, that we may avoid ‘doing the same things over again, while [naively] expecting different results?’ Just what does leadership in this space look like? We have some thoughts.
